What kind of files can Ashampoo Media Player+ play? Media
files come in many different flavors, for example the popular MP3 sound
and AVI video file formats. Ashampoo Media Player+ is a modular,
extensible program that uses plugins for playing different kinds of
media files. In addition to enabling you to play a large number of
different formats out of the box, this also means that you can add
support for new and different formats as and when the plugins become
available. In the standard version Ashampoo Media Player+ includes
support for over twenty major media file formats, which it can play on
any Windows®computer without additional codecs. In addition to this it
can play many, many more sub-formats in combination with additional
freely-available codecs. (for example the DivX video codec)

Support of the standard audio-, video- and streaming-formats. Over twenty important audio- and video-formats are supported and much more in addition to the Windows®-codecs. For
example: MP1, MP2, MP3, Unreal® Engine Audio-Dateien, DirectShow, MCI,
MOD (12 Formats), WAV, AVI and Ogg Vorbis audio-files, in order to call
only some!
Dynamic playlists: When you add folders to
playlists they are dynamic. Their contents always reflect the contents
of the folders they refer to (e.g. on a hard disk) and they are updated
automatically when the playlist is loaded. This is great for playing
music on your computer because you never need to edit your playlist.
Online folders and files: You
can include FTP folders and web files in your playlists. The contents
of FTP folders are updated automatically, just like local folders! You
can even listen to and view many audio and video formats online in real
time, without downloading the files to your computer first.
Online playlists: You
also have an access to WinAmp® *.M3U and the Media Player+ own *.P4U
palylists. Choose your favorite songs from online playlists and listen
to them. Online playlists work in the same way dynamic folders do!
Burn your playlists to CD with just two clicks! Ashampoo Media Player+ integrates with the Ashampoo BurnIt! Add-On, with
which you can record your playlists to data media CDs with just two
clicks. Supports over 980 popular CD recorders. Also makes autolaunch
CDs that start the CD playlists automatically and/or install the player
program when inserted in computers without Ashampoo Media Player+.
Inividual volume control: Adjust and save the volume individually for every single audio- or video-track in your playlist.
PlugIn technology: New
media-formats will be quick and easily integrated with the help of
plugins. The specifications for developing new plugins will be
published as soon as they become available.
Add-On technology: Additional features can be integrated using add-ons like the unique BurnIt! Add-On.
Skins: Download new skins and surfaces or even develop your own skin for your completly personla player.
